Easy and Delicious Street Tacos for Taco Tuesday




 Fresh and Flavorful Taco Recipe

Ingredients 

- Jalapeño peppers  

- Fresh cilantro  

- Ripe tomatoes  

- Limes  

- Salt and pepper  

- Cotija cheese, grated  

- Meat of your choice (e.g., chicken, beef, pork, or plant-based alternative)  

- Olive oil  

- Corn tortillas  


Instructions

Prepare the Salsa 

   - Dice the jalapeño peppers, tomatoes, and cilantro. Place them in a mixing bowl.  

   - Slice the limes in half and squeeze their juice over the mixture.  

   - Add salt and pepper to taste, mix well, and cover. Refrigerate to marinate while you prepare the other components.  

Cook the Meat 

   - Heat a saucepan over medium heat and add a teaspoon of olive oil.  

   - Once the oil is hot, add your meat of choice and season to taste.  

   - Cook for 8–10 minutes or until the meat is tender and fully cooked. Set aside.  

Prepare the Tortillas  

   - Heat your corn tortillas on a dry skillet or over an open flame for a few seconds on each side until warm and pliable. Place them on a paper towel to keep warm.  

Assemble the Tacos  

   - On each tortilla, layer the cooked meat, a spoonful of the fresh salsa mixture, and a sprinkle of grated Cotija cheese.  

   - Add your favorite sauce or hot sauce if desired.  

Serve and Enjoy 

   - Fold the tortilla gently, take a big bite, and savor the flavors!
