Kaidong Foods Review: Why I’m Obsessed with Mama’s Chili Oil, Golden Shallot Oil & Scallion Sauce
First Impression of Kaidong Foods Sauces
I recently got my hands on three sauces from Kaidong Foods—Mama's Chili Oil, Golden Shallot Oil, and Four Seasons Scallion Sauce—and let me tell you, my taste buds have been singing ever since. If you haven’t tried these yet, you’re seriously missing out. I discovered this brand through Tiff Cooks on YouTube (she’s amazing, right?), and I just had to try them for myself. Spoiler alert: I’m obsessed.
First Impressions
Let’s start with the packaging it’s chic, minimal, and looks so cute on my kitchen counter. Each jar has this authentic, homemade vibe that screams “this is made with love.”
Now, the sauces:
Mama's Chili Oil: This one is a game-changer if you love heat! It’s not just spicy; it’s layered with flavors. There’s a smoky kick that builds up without overpowering your meal. You can see the bits of crispy garlic and chili flakes swimming in this beautiful red oil.
Golden Shallot Oil: Golden is the perfect word. It’s light and aromatic, with crispy little shallot pieces that are heavenly. This sauce is like liquid sunshine for your meals.
Four Seasons Scallion Sauce: My absolute favorite. It’s this rich green sauce that’s fresh, garlicky, and just bursting with scallion goodness. It has this perfectly balanced saltiness that ties everything together.

How I’m Using Them
Mama's Chili Oil: I drizzled this over a simple bowl of noodles, and it instantly tasted like takeout from the best Sichuan spot in town. Next up, I’m mixing it into fried rice for that spicy kick.
Golden Shallot Oil: I’ve been brushing this on roasted veggies, and WOW. Sweet potatoes and carrots with a golden shallot glaze? Chef’s kiss.
Four Seasons Scallion Sauce: This is my ride-or-die. I’ve been stirring it into scrambled eggs, using it as a dumpling dip, and spreading it on a seared salmon filet. The possibilities are endless, and I can’t get enough.
Taste Test
Mama's Chili Oil is bold and intense, with crispy garlic bits that make every bite interesting. The Golden Shallot Oil is mellow, with a caramelized sweetness that adds depth without overwhelming. But the Four Seasons Scallion Sauce? It’s everything. The texture is creamy but not too thick, and the taste is like biting into the freshest scallion, minus the sharpness. It’s comfort food in a jar.
Final Thoughts
Kaidong Foods has officially stolen my foodie heart. These sauces are so versatile, and they make cooking feel effortless. If you’re looking to elevate your meals, get yourself a set of these jars. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.
